Professional Registration

I am certified to work with adults via the enhanced disclosure and barring procedure implemented by the Disclosure and Barring Service. I hold full UK professional indemnity insurance.

Data Protection

In order to protect your personal data in line with the Data Protection Act, 1998, I am registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) and comply with all data protection guidelines and regulations.

Confidentiality

Sessions are strictly confidential however please note I will break the confidentiality agreement if you inform me that your own life or someone else’s life is at risk, if a child or vulnerable adult is at risk, or if you express intent to break the law.

Cancellation and Non-Attendance Policy

Please provide 24 hours’ notice should you wish to cancel an appointment, or the full standard fee is charged.

Offending Behaviours

I do not work with any individual who holds a criminal record or a forensic services history for physical, or sexual abuse or violence, or identifies as an offender of any form of physical or sexual abuse or violence.

This is to ensure the safety of my client base and is outside of my private practice remit. Where possible, I can refer individuals to appropriate agencies.

For international clients, please dial the emergency services number for your location.

If you find yourself in crisis, contact your local GP, NHS Walk-In Centre, or NHS Mental Health Team. You can also go directly to your nearest A&E to be reviewed by the Psychiatric Liaison Service.

If you are outside the UK, you can find international crisis helplines via Befrienders Worldwide, a global network of emotional support centres affiliated with Samaritans.

  • NHS 111 — 24-hour urgent advice and health information service.
  • Samaritans: 116 123 — 24-hour confidential listening support.
  • Local Mental Health Crisis Lines — vary by area. For example, in West London the Mental Health Support Line (outside office hours) is 0800 328 4444.
  • SANEline: 0300 304 7000 (4 pm – 10 pm daily) — Emotional support for anyone in crisis or distress.
  • Rethink Mental Illness: 0808 801 0525 (Mon – Fri, 9:30 am – 4 pm) — Advice and support for mental health challenges.
