Associate Practitioners

This practice includes a carefully selected network of Associate Practitioners whose professional standards and specialist expertise align with the clinical ethos and discretion upon which the practice is founded.

Each Associate Practitioner is an experienced, regulated clinician with an established background in addiction and related psychological fields. They maintain independent professional registration, appropriate professional indemnity insurance, and full accountability to their governing body.

This is not an open listing or referral directory. Access to Associate Practitioners is offered directly through this practice following an initial discussion regarding therapeutic needs and availability.

A Curated Clinical Collective

The Associate Practitioners connected with this practice are individuals with whom I have longstanding professional relationships. They are clinicians I trust, whose approach to addiction, trauma, and complex psychological presentations reflects depth, integrity, and evidence-informed practice.

Introductions may be considered where:

• My own caseload is at capacity

• A different specialist emphasis may be beneficial

• Greater scheduling flexibility is required

• A lower-fee structure would support accessibility

All introductions are made following consideration of presenting needs and practitioner availability.

Areas of Specialist Experience

While each Associate Practitioner maintains their own independent clinical identity, areas of expertise across the collective include:

• Alcohol addiction

• Substance misuse and recovery

• Sex and pornography addiction

• Compulsive and behavioural addictions

• Trauma-informed addiction treatment

• Relationship and intimacy difficulties

• post-rehabilitation and relapse prevention support

Where appropriate, I will discuss whether working with an Associate Practitioner may form part of your overall treatment pathway.

Clinical Responsibility and Independence

Associate Practitioners operate as independent clinicians. They are not employees of this practice.

Each practitioner works under their own regulatory framework and remains accountable to their professional accrediting body. The Associate Practitioner independently determines clinical suitability and acceptance of any referral.

Where an introduction is made, therapeutic work is undertaken directly between the client and the Associate Practitioner. My role is limited to facilitating an appropriate introduction where requested.

Maintaining Standards

Professional reputation and ethical consistency are central to this model. Associate Practitioners are selected on the basis of:

• Demonstrated clinical experience

• Regulation by recognised professional bodies

• Alignment with evidence-informed addiction treatment

• Commitment to discretion, integrity, and responsible practice

This structure allows for expanded access to specialist support while preserving continuity of professional standards.

Considering an Introduction

If my clinic is currently full, or if a different fee structure or specialist focus may be more appropriate, we can consider whether introduction to an Associate Practitioner would support your needs.
